This week, Subaru unveiled its all-new 2015 Legacy Sedan. The vehicle has been refined and redesigned inside and out. Some of the highlights, outlined in Subaru’s press release, include:

• Roomiest Legacy ever with largest passenger cabin in the midsize segment

• Fuel efficiency at the top of AWD midsize sedan class with estimated ratings of 26 mpg city / 36 mpg highway for 2.5i model

• Higher level of comfort, quiet and refinement

• Revised powertrains and standard Lineartronic® CVT on all models

• New standard Active Torque Vectoring for greater agility

• New EyeSight driver assistance system with improved camera performance.

• New available safety technology including rear radar with Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert

• New infotainment technology with available 12-speaker premium audio

Scheduled to be released in the latter part of this year, the Subaru Legacy sedan is still the only vehicle in its class to have standard all wheel drive. The model now comes standard with Subaru’s Lineartronic CVT transmission, as well as standard back up camera.

The new standard Active Torque Vectoring is a feature that has been brought over from the 2015 WRX and WRX STI models. It is an enhancement of the Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) stability and traction control system, working by applying brake pressure to the inside front wheel to facilitate more neutral cornering.

The quieter and more comfortable ride are thanks to a combination of liquid-filled engine mounts, windshield made from acoustic glass, and increased sound deadening.

These are just a few of the highlights of the new 2015 Subaru Legacy sedan. For more information on the vehicle and its availability date, please contact Thelen Subaru.
