Responsibilities:
- Preparation and Cleanup: Assist in preparing vehicles for painting by cleaning, sanding, taping, and masking as needed. Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the painting process.
- Surface Preparation: Perform sanding, buffing, and grinding tasks to ensure vehicle surfaces are properly prepared for painting. Achieve smooth and flawless finishes.
- Painting Assistance: Collaborate with our experienced painters to mix paint, apply primers, and assist in paint application using a variety of tools and equipment.
- Power Tool Operation: Skillfully and safely operate various power tools essential for prepping, painting, and cleaning work areas.
- Quality Control: Participate in the inspection of completed paintwork, addressing any imperfections or defects to uphold our high-quality standards.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Painter Assistant in an automotive body shop.
- Proficiency in prep work, sanding, taping, buffing, and grinding associated with painting projects.
- Familiarity with a range of power tools used in automotive painting.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering top-notch work.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions from experienced painters.
